Delete Row if Cell is Blank

In this example we have a table of data listing each persons sales per quarter.
What we want to do is delete the rows that no longer contain a name in column A without having to go down this list and delete each one individually.

To do this:

1. Click on column A to select the full column.
2. Press F5 or Ctrl + G
3. Click Special in the Dialog Box.
4. Select Blanks and click OK.
5. Click the Home tab. In the Cells group click the down arrow under Delete and select Delete Sheet Rows.
6. All rows that did not contain data in column A will be deleted.

Delete Row if Cell is Blank

You can also use the same method to delete columns.
1. Click the row number to select the full row.
2. Press F5 or Ctrl + G
3. Click Special in the Dialog Box.
4. Select Blanks and click OK.
5. Click the Home tab. In the Cells group click the down arrow under Delete and select Delete Sheet Columns.
6. All columns that did not contain a data in the selected row will be deleted.
