Excel VBA Introduction Part 31 – ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) Modifying Data with Recordsets
We’ve previously looked at how to query a database using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) to get data from a recordset into Excel. This video shows how you can do the reverse: take data from Excel and add it to an ADO recordset. We’ll also look at how to modify existing records in a database as well as how to delete records. We’ll cover all of these techniques by connecting Excel to both a Microsoft Access and a Microsoft SQL Server database to demonstrate how flexible ADO really is.
