Starting Microsoft Excel

In the following example we are using Windows 7.

1. Click the Windows Start button
2. Click All Programs
3. Click on the Microsoft Office folder
4. Click Microsoft Excel

Pin Microsoft Excel to the Start Menu or Task Bar

If you are going to be using Microsoft Excel frequently it is a good idea to add a shortcut to the start menu or task bar. The following steps will show you how you can easily do this.

1. Click the Windows Start button
2. Click All Programs
3. Scroll down the list and click on the Microsoft Office folder
4. Right Click Microsoft Excel
5. Click Pin to Start Menu or Pin to Taskbar

You will now have Excel on your Taskbar or at the top of the start menu when you click the Windows Start button.

To remove repeat steps and select Unpin at step 5.
